I really enjoyed this book. The characters were real, well thought out, and all had a life of their own. It was a book that was very hard to put down, and I just had to finish it.

I think the great thing about this book was that it had characters of many personality types that had to huddle together to stay alive. I think that it made it much more real that they eventually grew to like each other, even though some of them wouldn't say it aloud.

The main characters Char and Alcyone I think were the perfect couple. I think they complimented each other well, and it was kind of refreshing to see the ugly duckling get beautiful, even if she had to become a demon to get it. They experienced hot, extremely frequent sex. It made me want a hot dragon lover of my own.

I mean who wouldn't be happy with a lover like Char? Handsome, well hung, passionate, and actually took care of his woman's needs before his own. Men could take some lessons from this guy.

Kael, who I guess could be called the leader of the group, is a mystery that I would love to unravel. There is more to his story than I think even his family knows. I get the feeling that there is another reason that he is so paranoid.

The background story is an interesting mystery. I hope in future books, I will be able to find out more about this "uprising".

I can't wait to read the next installment of this series. If it is anything like this book, they will have an instant hit on their hands.
