Book Summary:

Lucia, born a lady in a foreign land, now waits tables for her keep. When she sees Sir Reynor wasting away, she storms the Castle Lair seeking help for the dying dragon. What she finds is a dashing rogue, a mighty dragoness, and a contrite knight who blames himself for his dragon partner's injury.

Marcus is enchanted by the foreign beauty and intrigued by her mission. Few women will go near dragons and fewer still can communicate with them. Marcus recognizes Lucia for the treasure she is and knows she is meant for him...and for Kaden.

Kaden is wracked with guilt over the injury that has grounded the dragon-possibly forever. He knows Lucia is special, and he wants her. Lucia just might be the missing piece they all need to form a family. But with Reynor unable to fly, how can any of them be happy?

To make this family whole, they need a miracle. And love-the greatest miracle of all.

Book Review:

The long awaited sequel has finally been published. This was a great book, filled with lots of hot sex with two sizzling males who love their woman with fire, passion, and need. The book was hard to put down and definitely worth the read.

Although the new promised Gryphons were not in the book as much as I would have liked, the story didn't really need them to be a major presence anyway. The book really wasn't supposed to be about them after all.

The main male characters, Kaden and Marcus, were almost perfect contrasts of each other, yet they blended so well together. Marcus brought up in what appeared to be the lap of luxury, only to become a Dragon Knight. Kaden, a Warrior, which needed some love, hope, understanding, and attention.

Lucia, the main female lead, was sufficiently humble in her new station in life, compared to her old one. I do think that she went a little overboard on that subject once in awhile, but I think I can understand her reasoning’s better than most probably could. How many of us out there think that someone they love or care about is too good for them? I know I get that feeling quite often.

As the book continued, it was good to see the small glimpses of some of the other characters in the series, and it was especially nice that the sisters in the previous books still have that humble, but proud way about themselves. I think it was rather wonderful that they didn’t let their new stations in life interfere and turn them into snobs. It was refreshing and a pleasant change from other books I have read in the past.

Overall, I wish the book had been longer. I would have loved to know what happened to Lucia's Gryphon friends in the years that they had been apart. However, given what was supposed to be happening in the book, I can understand the length.

Reading this book just makes me anxious to read the next promised book in the series, where we will hopefully find out more information about the coming threat to the kingdom. It promises to be as great and as interesting book as this one was.
