Book Review:

The long awaited Prequel to the Unicorn Valley series is finally here! I was so shocked and happy when I realized that this was the beginning of the story. I must say that the wait was well worth it. It was so interesting to see the beginning of this series, and finally glimpse some of the history that you see in the future books in the series.

I really liked the two main characters in this book, Kella and Tanne. I think that they compliment each other quite well, and the differences don’t really seem to matter in the grand scheme of things. I found it most interesting how Kella got her powers, and early glimpses of Le-An. I have always found Le-An an interesting creature in the series, and to find out where her daughter came from and how, was just the icing on the cake.

I loved the in-depth background on the vampire clan and their religion. I found it very interesting that the vampires worshiped the Unicorns as gods. I don’t recall that mentioned much in the later series, but it has been awhile since I read the other books.

Overall, I have to say I this book was even better than the future books in the series. Maybe it’s because I have read the others and was just so happy to get more background history, but I loved it just the same. Great Job Lena! I can’t wait for the next book in this series!
